Boat Handling Improve your boat handling skills and increase your confidence, this package will include preparing your vessel to put to sea, safe refuelling, correct positioning of fenders and lines, correct use of steering with forward and astern propulsion, leaving and returning to a dock, coming alongside a wharf, picking up a mooring buoy and anchoring. Emergency ProceduresThis training covers practical demonstrations and practice of man overboard procedures, the correct use of distress flares, correct use of marine radio to report a distress, safety equipment use and stowage. NavigationIdentifying marks and lights, the use of charts and electronic navigation aids, plotting a course, passage planning, understanding transits and navigating during the hours of darkness. . Safety Management System (SMS)An SMS is a mandatory document for all commercial vessels, but it is also good practice for private vessels as a source of reference for boat safety procedures, a user guide for equipment and marine and emergency contacts.
